Sia Hints About Rihanna New Album, ‘Umbrella’ Singer Still Searching For Songs?

Fans are still waiting for the new album from Rihanna to be released after the "Four Five Seconds" singer revealed that Sia talked about the progress of RiRi's forthcoming release.

In a report by Cosmopolitan, Sia went on an interview with BBC Radio 2's Joe Whiley and talked about how Rihanna consulted her with the songs that would be included in her new album.

"The other night she came over and listened to half of 25 songs I played her because she's still looking for songs for her new album," Sia said. "She was there to listen to songs and see if there was anything that she was into. It was a business meeting, for sure."

Furthermore, she revealed that Rihanna is "still looking for songs for her new album."

Sia is known to have written songs for different artists such as Rihanna, Adele and Katy Perry, among others.

In a recent interview with Stuff.co.nz, the 39-year-old singer-songwriter talked about how she even used the songs intended for Rihanna and others to be used on her new album.

"We wrote three songs in two days and none of them made the cut, and [Alive] was one of them," Sia said.

"I said to her, 'Do you mind if I pitch it to, let's say, Rihanna?' She said, 'Yeah, but can you take my vocal off it because I don't want my vocal floating around out there on a demo.' And I was like, 'Sure.' So I went and recut the vocal and everybody in my life was like, 'You can't give this away to anybody.'"

Rihanna has already scheduled her "Anti" tour in February 2016, leaving a release date of the new album possibly set before the said date.

According to the site, the record might come out in January.
