Turbo Call On Artists Past And Present To Feature On 1st New Album In 15 Years

The '90s K-pop resurgence continues.

Older K-pop fans can probably remember Running Man cast member Kim Jong Kook a bit younger and a lot smaller as one of the teen heartthrobs from first generation K-pop act Turbo. Fifteen years later and he's back to sing and dance with rappers Kim Jung Nam and Mikey to entertain fans in a whole new way.

According to the group's management company The Turbo Company, for the upcoming sixth Turbo album, there will be songs that were written by Joo Young Hoon under the production of Yoon Il Sang. Both created multiple representative hits for Turbo such as "Twist King" and "Reflections."

The new album will also feature several other familiar artists. Lee Sang Min from Roo'ra and Lee Ha Neul from the group DJ DOC as well as Jinu from hip-hop group Jinusean have all teamed up with the trio for their latest project as well as Brand New Music rappers Rhymer and San E.

Turbo's new album will be released on Dec. 21.
