Gwendoline Christie On Filming 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' And 'Game Of Thrones' At The Same Time

With the premiere of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" just a few days away, it has become hard for actress Gwendoline Christie to stray away from discussing "Game of Thrones" at the same time.

During an interview with Made in Hollywood TV, Christie discussed the task of filming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and "Game of Thrones" at the same time.

"I was in New York for the Season 3 premiere of 'Game of Thrones' and I got the phone call saying, 'You have a meeting for 'Star Wars,'" said Christie.

"It took a bit of time to work out because I was sort of filming 'Game of Thrones' at the same time as 'Star Wars,' so that took a little bit of working out. Both parties were incredibly generous and worked together to facilitate this amazing opportunity. But that did happen over a series of weeks, so I did have to entertain the possibility that this might not happen. But when I knew this was happening, it was amazing."

And while Brienne of Tarth was not as involved in Season 5 of "Game of Thrones," Christie did give a little tease about what's to come in Season 6 to ExtraTV.

"All I can say about Season 6 of 'Game of Thrones' is that I do think the scripts are truly exceptional and more epic than anything we've seen before," she said.

Meanwhile, here's a little bit of spoilers regarding Christie's "Star Wars" persona, Captain Phasma.

"Captain Phasma is the captain of the Storm Troopers," she said. "She is a member of the First Order and part of the dark side. She is a Boba Fett-style character, which means that she is not at the forefront of the action, but she has a lot of impact."
