Gnarls Barkley Regrouping For A New Album? CeeLo Green Says He Has Talked To Danger Mouse

Cee Lo Green revealed in a recent interview how Gnarls Barkley could potentially release a new album any time by 2016, after he and Danger Mouse reportedly regrouped to continue where their group left off a few years back.

A recent report from NME revealed how the former "The Voice" judge went on to talk to his partner about the reunion of the group on stage.

The "Forget You" singer also cited how Danger Mouse has been busy with his projects and how he is, as an artist, is also busy with his projects as well.

"I just talked to Danger Mouse last night," CeeLo Green said of the new Gnarls Barkley album. "I told him, 'This is the next thing we should do.' I know he's about to do the Red Hot Chili Peppers' album. I hope he does great with that, but I said, 'Hey, I need you to be able to split your attention. We need another Gnarls album and so do the people.'"

Furthermore, with reports of a Gnarls Barkley new album on its way, a report from Fayobserver revealed how he, as a solo artist, would be releasing his own record in the near future.

He talked about how his upcoming release could be the start of what Gnarls Barkley could come up with in the future.

"This album is a prequel to the rest of the music I want to release in the very near future," Green said. "(It's) the start of a new beginning."

He also talked about the songwriting process in a report by New Zealand Herald, wherein he revealed was something similar to his songwriting process with his former alias.

"It's always personal to some degree, but much more introspective this time around - more introspective than I've been able to be, had the opportunity of being, the pleasure of being, over the last five years professionally," he said. "The last time I did it to this degree was under the alias Gnarls Barkley."
