Gravity Falls Season 2 Series Finale: Time Baby Will Be Integral To Gravity Falls’ Season 2 Finale ‘Weirdmageddon III;’ Gravity Falls’ Reboot in the Works?

Gravity Falls Season 2 Series Finale 'Weirdmageddon 3' News Update: "Gravity Falls" season 2 finale, titled "Weirdmageddon III" will reportedly feature an epic battle between Bill Cipher and Time Baby and only one of them will survive. Showrunner Alex Hirsh hinted that Time Baby will be an integral character in the series finale.

Fans picked up on the foreshadowing Alex Hirsch put out about Stan's death. The reports say "every effigy of Stan has been destroyed, usually in a fire, leading many fans to theorize that one day he could meet the same sticky end."

"Gravity Falls" Season 2 is supposed to be coming to an end in the upcoming episode titled, "Weirdmageddon III. But Alex Hirsch, the creator of the Disney XD series Gravity Falls hinted that the Season 2 finale will definitely not be the last.

The "Gravity Falls" season and series finale will not be airing until next year. The Pines family still has one last hurrah left in them. Disney XD has made a recent announcement that the much-awaited "Gravity Falls" season 2 will be premiered early 2016,

"The first thing to know is that the show isn't being cancelled- it's being finished. This is 100% my choice, and its something I decided on a very long time ago. I always designed Gravity Falls to be a finite series about one epic summer- a series with a beginning, middle, and end," Hirsch wrote via a Tumblr post.

"Will every single conceivable question ever thought of about Gravity Falls be answered in the end? Of course not. But that just leaves some material for any potential Gravity Falls projects in the future (including the canon Journal #3 that goes on sale in 2016)," Hirsch explained on his Tumblr page.

Wired reported on a theory posted on Reddit "that fans' obsessive deconstruction gave them too much insight about the show's ultimate twist, so Hirsch himself decided to cut short what was originally meant to be a longer series."

Hirsch previously talked about doing a crossover with another series, "Rick and Morty."

"Gravity Falls" has aired 39 episodes since its release in 2012.
