Korean R&B Stars Kim Tae Woo And Gummy Head To New York City For February Concert

Two of Korea's most talented R&B singers are headed stateside.

In February, g.o.d's Kim Tae Woo and soloist Gummy will hold a special debut concert in New York City. The pair will perform at Queens College on Feb. 6.

The event will be a special K-pop new year's concert.

Kim Tae Woo was previously meant to tour the United States in 2015, but the concert series was cancelled by TGM Events, the concert coordinating agency.

Kim debuted as a member of JYP Entertainment's idol group g.o.d in 1999. During the group's hiatus, Kim became known as a popular ballad singer. He currently runs his own agency, Soul Shop Entertainment.

Songs like his 2009 hit "Love Rain" and 2011's "Echo," as well as a variety of drama soundtracks, have added to Kim Tae Woo's popularity.

Gummy (Park Ji Yeon) last performed in the United States in 2014, at a special collaborative live performance with R&B duo Fly To The Sky.

The soloist debuted under YG Entertainment in 2003, and is known for songs like "Memory Loss," and "I'm Sorry," featuring Big Bang's T.O.P. Since leaving YG Entertainment in 2013 to join C-JeS, Gummy released several songs for soundtracks as well as a mini album.

Gummy and Kim Tae Woo will perform at Queens College's Colden Auditorium on Saturday, Feb.6 at 7PM. Tickets are currently on sale, beginning at $30 and going up to $180 for VVIP seating.
