'Sherlock' Season 4 Release Date, Cast, Plot, News & Update: BBC recently announced that the holiday special "Sherlock: The Abominable Bride" drew 11.6 million viewers in the United Kingdom alone. The special was also a big hit in America and China.
"Sherlock" Season 4 will start filming in Spring 2016 but there is no script yet.
"I think definitely Lestrade has got the hots for Molly. So maybe they'll develop that. We don't know what happens until we see the scripts, and that could literally be a couple of weeks before you film." Rupert Graves told Collider in an interview with Allison Kenne.
Is it possible that Molly and Lestrade might hook up on Sherlock Season 4?
"I think definitely Lestrade has got the hots for Molly. So maybe they'll develop that. We don't know what happens until we see the scripts, and that could literally be a couple of weeks before you film," Rupert Graves told reporters while promoting ABC's upcoming drama series The Family.
Back in July, Sherlock showrunner Steven Moffat also teased about the coming heat.
Steve Moffat recently told Collider that "Sherlock" season 4 might include a crossover with "Doctor Who." The "Sherlock" creator also firmed up the possibilities that season 4 will be ready for a 2017 release date.
"I think we're shooting next year, April-ish," Moffat told Collider. He also said that writer Mark Gatiss "may have started" writing the episodes already.
In Sherlock Season 3, the detective learned that Oscar, played by Michael Weston, was always aware that his sister Olivia died from heroin overdose and beat him so bad in the season 3 finale that we don't know if he's still alive.
Sherlock's executive producer Rob Doherty recently spilled to Entertainment Weekly that Oscar is a survivor.
"He is definitely not dead," Doherty told EW.
"I was live-tweeting that episode, and I was surprised when more than a handful of people thought Sherlock had committed a murder. The intention was absolutely to make it look like Sherlock had committed a violent crime, but no, Oscar is not dead. [And] that will be made very clear in the first episode."
But Doherty said not to look for Oscar in the season 4 premiere.
Shooting on Sherlock season 4 will begin in Spring 2016.
According to a recent interview with Collider, Steven Moffat revealed production will be starting for Sherlock season 4.
"Mark [Gatiss] will be starting [to write] very soon," Steven Moffat told Collider.
"He may have started. I've got to finish my Doctor Who Christmas special, and then I'll be straight onto Sherlock after that."
"We haven't started, but we've planned," Moffat told Collider.
"We know what we're doing. Haha. Or we think we know what we think we're doing. There are a couple of things we've got lined up that are really quite strong surprises, but we'll see."
"I think we're shooting next year, April-ish," Moffat said.
