SXSW 2016: K-Indie Artists HEO, Wym And Neon Bunny Join UK's Bloc Party In 3rd Round Artist Announcement

HEO will return to the preeminent music festival, SXSW 2016, to deliver their unique sound of sumptuous ambient rock.

On January 12, the duo was added as part of the third round announcement for SXSW 2016 (South by Southwest), which included the notable addition of country legend Loretta Lynn and U.K. indie electro-rock darlings, Bloc Party.

In 2015, HEO was awarded the honor of Electronic Dance Album of the Year at the Korean Music Awards and were the recognized by the staff of Vimeo and the Fringe Music Festival.

HEO will be joined by eighties-inspired synthpop artist Neon Bunny, the one-man electronica act Wym, jangly punk band Guten Birds and K-hip-hop artist, Deepflow.

Seasoned rapper, songwriter, producer, and music video director Deepflow will serve as a juxtaposition to the indie rock vibe of the recently announced Korean lineup.

Listed by XXL as one of "15 Korean Rappers You Should Know That Aren't PSY," Deepflow garnered critical acclaim for his 2015 release, "Yanghwa."

Neon Bunny caught the eye of Dazed Digital after she received a Best Pop Album nod from video bloggers, Eat Your Kimchi.

Her November 2015 release, "Romance in Seoul," captures the essence of her gorgeous melodies.

While one of the highlights of SXSW continues to be the K-pop Night Out event, the festival provides an opportunity for independent acts and hip-hop artist to showcase their talents to media and international audiences.

Other Korean acts scheduled to appear at SXSW 2016 include Mamamoo, illionaire record's artists Dok2 & the Quiett, Love X Stereo, Big Phony, Haihm and Jambinai.

SXSW 2016 will be held at various locations throughout Austin, Texas. Festival passes can be purchased through the official website for the event.
