South Korean hip-hop artist Tablo announced this week that he will have new music for fans in 2016.
On Wednesday, the Epik High frontman took to Twitter to reassure fans that he will release a new album in 2016. The news came a day before Tablo collaborated with singer-songwriter Bumkey on his song, "Better Man."
"I'll return with a good album this year for sure," Tablo tweeted.
The album will be Tablo's first since 2014. The artist did not clarify if it will be a follow up to his 2011 solo album "Fever's End" or an upcoming Epik High album.
Epik High released their widely-acclaimed "Shoebox" album in 2014, but Tablo has kept busy in 2015 and 2016.
Last year, Tablo and Epik High became the first YG Entertainment artists to operate a sub-label. The indie label HIGHGRND, run by Tablo, houses artists Hyukoh, Code Kunst, and The Black Skirts and also is responsible for producing music for other YG Entertainment acts.
In 2015, Tablo also collaborated on multiple songs, including XIA Junsu's "Flower" and Kim Sung Kyu's "Daydream." He also returned to the last season of Mnet's "Show Me the Money" as a judge and producer, and worked on songs with several contestants.
This year is also set to see a lot of Tablo. Along with Bumkey's "Better Man," Tablo also is teamed up this month with entertainer Yoon Jong Shin on "The First."
"I'm not the king of being prolific," Tablo wrote on Twitter on Wednesday. "I have to repay all of the people who have helped me out even just once. The fact that I get the chance to pay them back makes me very, very happy. I'll return with a good album this year for sure."
