South Korean entertainment agency The Black Labelhas officially launched its first-ever global audition, aiming to discover new talent across vocal, rap, and dance categories.
Applications opened on April 1 and are available to individuals born between 2006 and 2015, regardless of nationality. This marks a significant milestone for the agency, which was founded in 2016 by producer Teddy Park and is affiliated with YG Entertainment.
The auditions will kick off on April 19 in Seoul and will span 14 cities across 11 countries. Stops include Bangkok (May 3), Ho Chi Minh City (May 10), Manila (May 11), Kuala Lumpur (May 17), Singapore (May 25), Los Angeles (May 31), Orange County (June 1), Toronto (June 7), Vancouver (June 15), Sydney (June 21), Melbourne (June 22), Auckland (June 28), and Tokyo (July 5), per the agency's social media post.
Aspiring participants can pre-register online via Google Forms until three days before their respective audition dates. On-site registration is also available on the day of each audition. Applicants must choose one category—vocal, rap, or dance—and perform for one minute during the audition. Notably, vocal and rap performances must be done without background music.
Successful candidates will join The Black Label as official trainees and begin rigorous training to prepare for their debut as artists under the agency.
The Black Label, a prominent South Korean entertainment agency, was established in 2015 by Teddy Park and Kush, both renowned producers affiliated with YG Entertainment. Initially created as a sub-label of YG Entertainment, it transitioned into an associate company in 2020.
The Black Label has grown into a prominent entertainment company known for managing global stars such as BLACKPINK's Rosé, BIGBANG's Taeyang, Jeon Somi, and actor Park Bo-gum. In September 2024, the agency debuted its first girl group, Meovv.
