As some of the biggest pop stars in Asia, it is not surprising that the five members of K-pop act Big Bang have amassed a nice fortune for themselves. G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri are said to have a combined total of over 40 billion KRW (approx. $33 million USD).
According to an analysis conducted by Korean corporation Herald Media, member G-Dragon (Kwon Ji Yong) has the most money out of all of the Big Bang members, with a personal fortune totalling nearly 15 billion KRW ($12.34 million USD).
G-Dragon's total assets were divided into multiple categories, with 10 billion won ($8.23 million USD) earned from group and solo activities, concerts, and other promotional activities.
The remainder of his assets are divided between real estate on multiple properties and royalty income from his self-composed songs. In the year 2013 alone, G-Dragon earned nearly 800 million won ($658,500 USD) from song royalties.
The other four members of the group, T.O.P (Choi Seung Hyun), Kang Daesung, Seungri (Lee Seung Hyun), and Taeyang (Dong Young Bae), have a combined total of 25 billion KRW ($20.5 million USD).
In addition to music, the members have earned money through personal businesses. Seungri owns a dance academy chain that operates at five separate locations.
T.O.P's fortune has been estimated at over 5 billion Korean won ($4.1 million USD), earned through music, movies, and advertisements.
A large amount of the total is thanks to the group's four MADE series single album releases last year, which achieved estimated sales of 12 billion Korean won ($9.8 million USD). In addition, the group's world tour brought in a staggering 140 billion won ($115 million USD).
