'Avengers: Infinity War' Cast News And Plot Spoilers: Mark Ruffalo Teases Fans With Hulk Details; Will Avengers And Guardians Team Up In Infinity War?

'Avengers: Infinity War' Cast News And Plot Spoilers: There will be no standalone Hulk movie because the rights are not owned by Marvel Studios. But there are rumors that Thor: Ragnarok And Avengers: Infinity War will form a standalone Hulk arc.

"I'd love to do a Hulk movie, but that's beyond my control," Mark Ruffalo, who plays Hulk, told Yahoo Movies during the Sundance Film Festival.

"It's controlled by Universal. Marvel doesn't even hold the rights to it. So, it's not on the horizon. And I don't know if it will be."

Ruffalo will be making appearances in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok as well as both parts of Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War

"We've worked a really interesting arc into 'Thor 3,' 'Avengers 3' and '4' for Banner that I think will - when it's all added up - will feel like a Hulk movie, a standalone movie," Ruffalo said.

According to the 'Avengers: Infinity War' co-director Anthony Russo, 'The Defenders' won't make appearance in the new Marvel film.

"It's complicated. When we start to serialize the telling of stories is difficult," Russo said in a recent interview. "You have to have a lot of control and focus on the course of history. The films are controlled by a group led by Kevin Feige, so they function as a unit. Other products, even if they are from Marvel, are controlled by others. Then there is the possibility of a crossover, but is more complicated."

"It's cyclical. Some New Avengers in phase 4 are going to become prominent and then maybe some Avengers might not be around anymore," Captain America: Civil War director Joe Russo told a panel at the Wizard World New Orleans Comic Convention.

"So, we'll see how all this plays out but you have to treat every character with respect. I think it's interesting that if you've seen four or five movies with the lead character having an arc, I want to see some story telling from some of the secondary characters.

"We're focusing on that right now with Infinity War while we're breaking into those movies, is which characters can we pull to the forefront who potentially haven't had their own 'A' story arc to this point. I think you'll see that the supporting Avengers are going to become primary Avengers."

Avengers: Infinity War' is an upcoming two-part installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase Three.
