Alicia Vikander Ditches Michael Fassbender At SAG Award, Trumps ‘Steve Jobs’ Kate Winslet To Win

Alicia Vikander made sure to lose her boyfriend Michael Fassbender at this year's SAG Awards. She won SAG Awards for Best Supporting Actress, beating out her boyfriend's co-star Kate WInslet to snag the trophy.

"Alicia went solo at the ceremony as her boyfriend Michael Fassbender was not able to make it though he is nominated tonight. His Steve Jobs co-star Kate Winslet revealed on the red carpet that he wouldn't be in attendance," according to Just Jared.

Sounds like Alicia had a fine time at SAG Awards 2016 without Michael Fassbender

This year, Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander are in a unique position. Not only are they romantically involved, but they are also both nominated for Oscars. Michael and Alicia made their relationship public at the Golden Globes, which just shows how much of a power couple they both are.

In leading up to Oscar 2016, Alicia Vikander is doing very well for herself.

"There was some TOUGH competition in the Best Supporting Actress category at the Critics' Choice Awards on Jan. 17, but a winner has been named! Alicia Vikander took home the coveted award in 2016 for her role in 'The Danish Girl,' and it couldn't be more deserved," according to Hollywood Life.

At least Alicia Vikander is getting some practice in giving winning speeches. On the other hand, Michael Fassbender hasn't yet won anything for 'Steve Jobs'.

At least he has Kate Winslet to keep him company on no-award front.

At the Golden Globes this year, Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander gained a newfound freedom in expressing affection towards each other.

"Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander looked the picture of romance on Sunday night, putting their relationship on full display for their award show debut as a couple," according to People. "Not only did the two exchange a few loving glances as they sat next to each other at the award ceremony, they notoriously private couple took their PDA to the next level later in the night."

Maybe it was a blessing in disguise that none of them won Best Actor this year at the Golden Globes!

But now that the couple is facing Oscar 2016, they may not be so kind to each other as they feel the competitiveness settle in.
