'Flying Witch' Anime Gets Character Designs For Makoto, Chinatsu, And Kei

"Kiki Delivery Service" fans rejoice as the comparable "Flying Witch" anime is almost here.

Unfortunately, fans still have over a month to wait.

Nevertheless, excitement for the "Flying Witch" anime continues to build as several character designs for the new series have been revealed on the official website. The new character designs, available to view below, features Makoto, Chinatsu, and Kei.

The "Flying Witch" anime is set to premiere sometime in April.

Anime News Network reports that Minami Shinoda will voice the character of Makota Kowata, Eri Suzuki will voice the character of Chinatsu Kuramoto, and Shinsuke Sugawara will voice the character of Kei Kuramoto.

The "Flying Witch" anime will be directed by Katsushi Sakurabi with series scripts by Deko Akao. Masato Yasuno is designing the characters and J.C. Staff is in charge of the animation production.

For those not familiar with the "Flying Witch" anime series, it is based on the original manga by Chihiro Ishizuka that was launched in 2012. Kodansha published the third volume of the manga in April 2015, with the fourth volume set for release on April 18, just in time for the premiere of the anime.

ANN provides the following storyline for the "Flying Witch" manga series:

"The comical story follows the 15-year-old witch Makoto Kowata and the other boys and girls in her daily life. With her black cat Chito, the somewhat aimless girl moved from Yokohama to live with her second cousin at Aomori in verdant northern Japan."
