'American Idol' Season 15: Singers Jordin Sparks, Chris Daughtry Duet With American Idol Season 15 Singers

'American Idol' Season 15: American Idol brought star-powered alumni Jordin Sparks and Chris Daughtry for Thursday's duets competition.

The producers of American Idol promised that the final chapter of the long-running series would honor the show's history.

12 singers from American Idol's past years will duet with contestants from season 15. On Thursday night (Feb. 19), Idols from seasons 4 (Constantine Maroulis), 5 (Chris Daughtry, Kellie Pickler), 6 (Jordin Sparks), 7 (David Cook) and 10 (Haley Reinhart) will mentor and sing with 12 of the finalists from the top 24.

"We had mentors come through on my season and I asked a lot of the same questions this year's contestants are asking," says Cook. "I remember Fantasia and Kellie Pickler coming back during our season. It was great getting to pick their brains. We had Annie Lennox come through and Neil Diamond. Then we got more into questions about performing and interpreting songs."

Jordin Sparks new album, "Right Here Right Now" drops on August 21 and the Grammy-Nominated Sony Music Recording Artist will be making pop-up appearances and consumer engagement both online and in the malls in a series of live-stream performance events and a series of exclusive content releases including national sweepstakes.

Sparks sold over 11 million units since her career launch in 2007 when she won American Idol at the age of 17.

With 3 Top 10 Billboard singles, and one which Billboard Magazine rated one of the greatest duets of all time, "No Air" with Chris Brown, and a number one hit THE WAY, which she co-wrote for Ariana Grande, Jordin is a force in the music industry as both an artist and songwriter.

Jordin Sparks is also a social media powerhouse with over 13 million social media followers, and 200 million VEVO views.

Jordin appeared in numerous films including starring alongside Whitney Houston in her final film "Sparkle." She is well known host at top red carpet events such as the Billboard Awards and American Music Awards, and has starred on Broadway as Nina Rosario in "In the Heights."

"Right Here Right Now" is Spark's 3rd studio album. It offers a broad spectrum of music ranging from power ballads, pop tempos, club infused mixes and a narrow focus around the essence of 90's R&B.

The 14-track standard album includes features from major recording artists B.o.B, J-Doe, 2 Chainz, Shaggy, Elijah Blake.
