Actress Choi Ji Woo is staying with one of the largest entertainment agencies in Korea.
On Monday, Feb. 29, YG Entertainment released a statement regarding Choi Ji Woo renewing her contract with the agency.
"I am the type that keeps relationships going for a long time," said Choi through the statement, according to the Korea Herald. "I’ve been working with my stylist for 20 years and my manager for 10 years."
"Ever since I joined YG, I heard from others that we get along very well. I would like to continue to be with YG as we complement each other’s image well," she added
Choi initially signed signed a contract with YG on February 26, 2014, and at the time was already well known for her roles in the hit dramas Winter Sonata (2002) and Stairway to Heaven (2003).
YG Entertainment, known predominently as the record label behind international K-pop acts Big Bang, Psy and 2NE1, has been expanding business ventures in other areas of entertainment and pop culture. Last year, the company launched YG Stage, a project to manage and promote their growing roster of actors, and most recently welcomed Kang Dong Won to the family.
Choi was discovered when she won a talent audition organized by MBC in 1994, then made her acting debut in the drama War and Love in 1995.
