Details for the "Dota 2" Manila Major roster changes have been updated.
Gosu Gamers reported that the upcoming "Dota 2" Manila Major will be the last tournament for teams to make adjustments in their roster. The shuffle started last Mar. 7 and ends on Mar. 27, 12:00 a.m. PDT. Teams will have to remain unchanged from Mar. 27 until the completion of "Dota 2's" The International 6.
Valve posted the schedule for the "Dota 2" Manila Major open qualifiers which runs from Apr. 29 to May 2 and right after, follows the Manila Major regional qualifiers from May 3 to May 6.
The Dota 2 Manila Major will be the last Major before the start of The International 6. The Manila Major will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena from June 7 to June 12.
"Disappointment should come from the elimination of a favorite team in a hard-fought match, not from the experience of just trying to watch a game you love," Valve posted on its blog. "With that in mind, we will be increasing our involvement moving forward to ensure that future events deliver a high-quality experience."
This statement was posted right after the victors for the "Dota 2" Shanghai Major were crowned. There was lots of drama involved during the Shanghai Major.
Pro Gaming League, Valve's official representative for Europe, will be the third party organizer even though the Major will be held in the Philippines. This is to ensure the "Dota 2" Manila Major will be a very enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Right after the "Dota 2" Shanghai Major, there have been major roster changes in some teams. However, one team decided to keep its roster unchanged and this team is the all-Swedish team, Alliance. Team Alliance was The International 3 champions with the same roster.
Alliance's roster is as follows: Jonathan 'Loda' Berg, Henrik 'AdmiralBulldog' Ahnberg, Gustav 's4' Magnusson, Jerry 'EGM' Lundkvist and Joakim 'Akke' Akterhall.
