While "Naruto Shippuden" continues the story of Naruto in anime format, it's manga counterpart is moving forward with a brand new story. This time, the upcoming manga will focus on Naruto's son, Boruto.

Everyone is already familiar with the son of the legendary ninja through one-shot manga and the anime film. According to Anime News Network, the first chapter of Boruto's story will start on May 9 with monthly publication through Shonen Jump.

Boruto definitely is an intriguing character for the upcoming manga. However, Boruto's team mate could also be a point of discussion for many anime fans: Mitsuki. Known as the mysterious member of the team, the only important information revealed about the character is the fact that he is Orochimaru's son. Nothing else is known about him - even his mother.

The answer to the mysterious background of Mitsuki could be revealed in small details in the upcoming manga. However, there is an upcoming one-shot manga that will focus on the life of Mitsuki. According to Daily Anime Art, "The one-shot special chapter will be released on the 25th of April alongside the Boruto spinoff manga chapter."

Fans of the massively popular anime and manga will just have to wait weeks before answers could be revealed. It is even possible that Orochimaru makes an appearance. After all, it's already confirmed that he is the parent of Mitsuki.

Another big mystery that could be answered soon is Mitsuki's actual relationship with Orochimaru. According to Naruto Wikia page for Mitsuki, "Boruto asks Mitsuki who his parents are, and the latter replies he is the son of Orochimaru. Shocked, Sarada asks if Orochimaru is his mother or father, to which Mitsuki says it doesn't matter while Boruto demands to know who Orochimaru is."

The one-shot story dedicated to Mitsuki as well as the mysterious background definitely pushes the level of importance of the character in the upcoming manga.
