The absence of "Hunter X Hunter" author Yoshihiro Togashi has been significantly glaring the past few months since he stopped at episode 349.
According to Bit Bag, the famous manga creator already missed several issues since "Hunter X Hunter" was published, noting why fans are not even bothered that episode 350 has not yet been released.
It has been reported by several sources that Togashi went ill for a couple of months which might be the reason for his long hiatus in publishing the succeeding episodes. It turns out his lower back pain has been existing since 1998, Bit Bag reported.
In a report by Anime News Network, fans did some analysis on the on and off appearances of "Hunter X Hunter" episodes. It revealed that the "Yu Yu Hakusho" creator had his longest break in 2007 missing 79 episodes which started his frequent long breaks in publishing.
According to a report by Youth Health Mag, the latest episode was already starting with the "Dark Arc Continent" story when Togashi's long break took over.
Meanwhile, in the latest story line, some Manga Helper users speculated that Alluka might be showcased as one of the five calamities.
"I do not think she is one of the calamities, but I think she is connected with one," claimed user Shionoro from the discussion forum. "We got a calamity that drains emotional affection and feeds on its prey like a parasite. I think that Ai is something like that and Killuah is the victim, and his wishes come with a prize after all."
"Nanika is an Ai indeed, one could theorize it from chapter 341 too, when the toweled bodies were told to have appeared during attempts at accessing the Dark Continent," user Jiji from Manga Helpers speculated.
With all these speculations from the story line, the more important question to ask as of this moment is when Togashi will finally be returning from this long hiatus.
