Despite the "Expendables 3" unsuccessful sales, a confirmation was made in the past month that there will be an "Expendables 4" hitting the theaters in 2017.
In a Twitter post by The Arnold Fans, the account made the announcement that the movie will be having its fourth installment.
The tweet took Randy Couture's confirmations as its source when they interviewed him during the Arnold Sports Festival, Ecumenical News reported.
"At the #ArnoldSportsFestival, Randy Couture confirms Expendables 4 starts filming this fall! #schwarzenegger pic.twitter.com/0lM7xTHx4q"
Despite this announcement, Schwarzenegger did neither confirmed nor denied the news according to Yibada.
In the same report, it also stated that Sylvester Stallone would not be coming back in the next movie as the action star will be focusing on the next sequel of his movie, "Creed."
However, another report by Ecumenical News speculated Stallone will still be included in the movie since he didn't bag the most coveted award for Oscars.
In an interview with Stallone, the 69-year old actor said he would be making sure the next installment is a lot bloodier he does another, Lawyer Herald reported.
"If I do another one it's going to be a lot bloodier... hardcore R." Stallone said.
In view of its poor box-office performance, Stallone shared his perception of what has happened in the last movie.
"I believe it was a horrible miscalculation on everyone's part in trying to reach a wider audience, but in doing such, diminish the violence that the audience expects. I'm quite certain it won't happen again," the actor said.
Still with no official confirmation, another leaked information points to the direction that the film will be taken in China and several previous casts will be able to reprise their roles.
Fans should be expecting new and additional characters such as new members of the team, and a good villain who would be able to take them down. Names of Hulk Hogan and Pierce Brosnan appear to be possibly included in the expendables while Dwayne Johnson has expressed his interest in playing the villain's role, Yibada reported.
Still with a few months from its speculated release, these information is still subject to changes and thus should only be taken with a grain of salt.
