Reports have already been going on for months regarding the release of the much-awaited GoPro Hero 5. There have been speculations that the release date of the said device will most probably be in October, however, GoPro has not confirmed anything from this information.
Parent Herald in its report said that alongside the next-in-line device is the debut of a new type of drone, dubbed as "Karma Drone." It has been reported that this device will be launched earlier than GoPro Hero 5, most likely in May or June.
GoPro 5 was first planned to be released early in 2016 but later moved to the second semester of the year to jive with the thanksgiving and holiday season, News Everyday reported. This move was probably taken by GoPro to avoid low performance and to boost sales of the Hero 5.
In the same report, it mentioned that the Hero 5 is expected to be lighter and thinner, it being 50% smaller and 40% lighter than its predecessors. The device is also expected to focus on its connectivity features making its Bluetooth more enhanced and also compatible with the upcoming Karma Drone.
It is expected that the Hero 5 will produce superb features like that of an 8K video technology, a dual lens from improved photo quality output, and a powerful chipset like that of Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and A10 chip, Christian Times reported.
Parent Herald also noted GoPro Hero 5 will be capable of taking videos at a rate of 60 frames per second and an improved and dual battery life as well. It is expected that its battery capacity will be 2,800 mAH. The same report also added that the device might be priced at around $450 to $550.
As of the moment, it is only upon GoPro's discretion when they will be finally announcing the release of this new line of device.
