It has been more than two years since the first season of "Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey" aired in television, and fans have been waiting for a couple of months already as to whether a release for the second season is happening very soon.
According to Youth Health Mag, ''Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey'' is a documentary sci-fiction TV show that first aired on March 09, 2014 which both premiered at the Fox network and the National Geographic channel.Bbut since then, launching date for the second season has been unconfirmed up to these days.
It is a remake of a very popular TV show ''Cosmos: A Personal Voyage'' which was aired way back in 1980. This modern adaptation got a rating of 9.4/10 in IMDB metrics and 82/100 in Metacritic, the report furthermore added.
During his previous interview with Business Insider last October, Neil deGrasse Tyson, host and executive producer of the show confirmed: "Iconic science show 'Cosmos: A Space time Odyssey' isn't dead at Fox.'" Tyson further added, "We should know soon, within a month possibly."
The astrophysicist even added: "We're converging now, nothing's greenlit, but we're getting the band back together and we're meeting with some of the heads of the Fox network by the end of the month. So, we should know something."
Former producer, Seth McFarlane even showed support to the TV show when he posted in Twitter: "Early, preliminary discussions for the 2nd season of #Cosmos-If you want to see more of the great @neiltyson, tweet him your love!" according to a report from Korean Portal.
Yet until now, there has never been any additional update from Tyson's interview. Fans still have to wait a little longer when Fox and National Geographic finally announces the much-awaited comeback of the documentary sci-fi TV show.
It can be recalled that "Cosmos" bagged several awards including 12 Emmy Awards, a 4th Annual Critics' Choice Television Awards, and the 30th TCA awards in the past, YHM noted.
