In a recent report by Bleacher Report, Rousey commented on her loss to Holm last November, stating that what happened is actually the "best thing" for her.
"When it comes to challenges, I honestly believe that things happen for a reason. At the time yes it's hard on a personal, emotional level and it's hard to look past what's happening to the future, but you have to believe in yourself because down the line in two, five, 10 years' time you'll look back and think that was actually the best thing that ever happened to me.
Every single setback it's not the end of the world, it's just the beginning of that lesson. That had to happen for me to learn these certain things and it's not about being completely infallible, it's about getting better and there's no room for improvement in perfect."
It can be recalled that Rousey's loss to Holm is first in her career, while she was defending her bantamweight title.
Some people are expecting a rematch for the fighters would shortly happen, but in Holm's first attempt to defend the bantamweight title she acquired from her fight with Rousey, Miesha Tate was able to take her down and claim the title.
Due to the turn-around of events, there were speculations that Rousey might be fighting with Tate next. In a report by MMA Fighting, it confirmed that Rousey's next fight will be with Tate, who defeated Holm who tried to defend her bantamweight title. While this was already confirmed by this news, a separate report by The Washington Post stated that Tate will not be facing Rousey but will be fighting with Nunes instead on July as part of the UFC 200.
