‘One Punch Man’ Season 2; Lord Boros Vs. Saitama Continues! Latest OVA Release Date Revealed!

The first season of "One Punch Man" is an overwhelming success thanks to its unique take on a superhero. While the traditional view of superheroes often pits him/her on a conflict regarding their superhuman abilities, Saitama does not have that problem because he can dispatch most villains in one punch. Combine this setting with some funny animation and you get anime gold.

Because of its popular reception, fans have been asking on the release date for the second season. There are no concrete news on the actual release date but according to Movie News Guide, "It is worth noting that creator Murata Yusuke has announced in the past that the next season is already in production although he did not specify either November or December to be the release month."

But there are sites claiming that the second season of the popular anime TV series will be released next year. Yibada reports that the hit anime series could premiere early 2017 and even though there are no specific reasons for the delay, expectations on the quality of animation and storytelling should make the animation studio vie for something better.

For the storyline, it is believed that the anime will simply continue where it left off. According to Crossmap, the first episode will feature Lord Boros and his continuing quest to beat Saitama.

Fortunately, fans don't have to wait months for brand new content. The manga series still continues with nearly the same hilarious and fun storytelling. Complementing the series and manga is the Original Video Animation or OVA that focuses on a different aspect of the story. According to its official website, the latest OVA is titled, "Bang, Who is Too Overbearing" which focuses on the character Bang. The upcoming OVA is titled "The Sisters Who Have Too Many Things Happening" and it focuses on Genos and Fubuki. The upcoming OVA is scheduled for release on April 22.
