Welcome to this week's Get That K-pop Look, where we showcase an original K-Pop outfit and give you tips on putting together your own similarly styled, affordable outfit.
Festival season is upon us, and you'll find no better outfit inspiration for a romp around a summer musical festival than some of the outfits that APink wore recently during Memory Day for fans in Singapore. There's Bohemian fringe, there's a floppy hat to keep you out of the sun's harmful rays, and there's the elusive stylish but still comfy pair of shoes to top it all off.
Here's where you can find your own:
Wide Brim Wool Floppy Hat, $28 from Luxury Divas
You've gotta protect yourself from the rough, sunny world out there. There's no better way to look fabulous while minimizing sun damage than wearing this floppy hat from Luxury Divas. While your friends are sunburnt, sweaty messes, you'll look ready for a convertible ride in the south of France.
Off-The-Shoulder Lace Top, $58 from Bloomingdale's
There's a bit of Latin flair to the off the shoulder trend that has been taking over K-pop style. It's a fun look that can be dressed up or down, and is much more interesting than a typical t-shirt or blouse. The lace in this option from Bloomingdale's will give any outfit a simultaneously feminine and fierce look that is tough to get with other styles.
Seedbead Tube Necklace, $13 from ASOS
We've seen so much layering of necklaces this year, and this is a great approach to that look from APink. A lot of times layered necklaces have the same vibe - all dainty chains, or two or three statement pieces. Not here. You've got this tube necklace on top that evokes even more of the Latin flair that we get from the lacy off the shoulder top. It's a great move, and this choker from ASOS is one that would go with tons of other outfits.
BCBGeneration Antique Silver-Tone Chain Fringe Tassel Necklace, $25 from Macy's
Can't go wrong with a tassel these days. There are some out there that work as a statement piece; this one instead perfectly complements the overall vibe of this outfit.
INC International Concepts Four-Pocket Shorts, $49.50 from Macy's
When it comes to black shorts, there are a lot of frayed booty short options out there. Those are fun, but these are a little more comfortable for something like a festival, and you could wear them to slightly more formal events, too, like a summer barbeque with co-workers or brunch with the in-laws.
Banded Peep Toe Heel Sandals, $23 from 2020Ave
If you're headed to a festival, you may (understandably) go the ugly but comfy flat shoe route. But if you want a cute shoe with a bit of a heel, steer very clear of the stilettos and opt for a sandal like this one. The wide straps and thick heel make it nice and sturdy for traipsing around and dancing all night long.
