Slipknot Vocalist Corey Taylor Rants About Pop Music Calling It 'Insulting' And 'Lifeless'

It seems like Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor is on a roll.

While the statement could very well be applied to his career, the 41-year-old heavy metal band musician is also on a roll with his ranting.

After calling out Kanye West and Fall Out Boy, Taylor now throws a shade to pop music, calling it "insulting."

During an interview with Loudwire, the Slipknot vocalist opened up about his feelings toward the new music industry today.

In his statement, Corey Taylor revealed music industry's horrifying secrets accusing new artists of having their music done so "processed" and "lifeless."

"I feel like I'm being stung by 1,000 bees all at once," Taylor told the publication. "It's so Auto-Tuned and it's so beat corrected and it's so canned and processed and lifeless."

He seemed too frustrated with it that he would recommend listeners to just listen to a "piece of wood."

"You might as well be listening to a f-ing piece of wood at that point," he stated. "It bothers me because I put so much into everything I do. I put so much into my music, I bleed for it, I die for it every goddamn night. To watch these people basically let a computer go through the motions and do all the work for them, it's insulting to everyone out there who has more talent and less attention."

In his previous interview with Billboard to promote his rant-laden third book titled, "You're Making Me Hate You, Corey Taylor has called out Fall Out Boy for reportedly having "the nerve" to call its 2013 album "Save Rock and Roll."

"I've just gotten to the point in my life where I"m tired of holding back," Taylor explained. "It's like, 'Man, I've just got to say something, even just to get it off my chest,' and it feels like people respond to it, whether it's positive or negative. My biggest worry was that it would come off too angry and people wouldn't see the humor, but I think after all these years people understand my sense of humor. It's pretty dark, but they get it. I'm just trying to get everybody to laugh with me."

Moreover, the Slipknot vocalist who is also the frontman Stone Sour, expressed his amusement to the people who bashed him after dissing Kanye West and told him that "Kanye, you are not -- not -- the greatest living rock star of all time."

"It's so funny, man It was like one little comment and now everybody's talking about it and it's just getting funnier and funnier," Taylor, who's currently on a book tour doing both signings and spoken word/music performances, uttered.

"The first day everybody was going, 'Well, y'know, (West) has more Grammys than Slipknot has albums. I'm like, 'Yeah, you just made my point for me. Getting a Grammy is like getting a Teen Choice Award. Figure it out.' And then the big thing online is these weird little armchair academics who are like, 'Well, if you really break it down, sorry Corey, but Kanye really is the greatest living rock star.' And I'm like, 'You an stop right there because you just destroyed your credibility. If you're gonna tell me (that) with Keith Richards still alive, withDavid Bowie still alive, with Paul McCartney still alive that there's even a comparison to Kanye West, then you just need to shut up and never try to say anything smart ever again."
