'GTA 6' Release Date Happening In 2018? Rockstar North Having Issues With Franchise?

The release date of "GTA 6" is among the most highly anticipated announcements in the gaming industry.

Since the successful release of its prequel "Grand Theft Auto V" on Sept. 17, 2013, fans and game enthusiasts are now clamoring to hear news about the sequel.

Rockstar North has been known to release additional installments in a long period of time, with rumors claiming that "GTA 6" release date will most likely happen in between 2018 and 2020.

However, with no concrete development as of the moment, fans are just getting by bits of information about the game's details, like its location.

Apparently, N4bb felt like the new location will either be set in San Fierro or Las Venturas, which was based on the unsuccessful map completion of the prequel "GTA: San Andreas."

Meanwhile, MNR Daily noted that it's also possible that the new location could be in Liberty City. Others even believe that "GTA 5" could be located in Japan.

Rockstar boss Leslie Benzies previously revealed the company's plans of bringing the series of a "one big world."

"We would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas," he revealed in an interview with Digital Trends.

However, Christian Daily has reported that fans may have to wait a little longer before "GTA 5" release date arrives. Apparently, the giant gaming company is having problems with the game's development.

Another reason was stated by N4BB claiming that due to the success of "GTA Online" Rockstar has yet to feel the need to produce or develop "GTA 6" anytime soon. The company is said to have been getting "hundreds of millions of dollars" from the microtransactions of "GTA Online."
