UNIQ's Kim Sungjoo recently got casted in the Chinese Remake of the Korean Drama, She Was Pretty. Sungjoo will be playing Choi Siwon's character in the original drama. Sungjoo is the only Korean actor that has been casted with a leading role for this remake. In the past, he has acted in a Chinese drama and movie before. Besides this drama, Sungjoo will also be appearing in the forthcoming Chinese version of 'Youth Over Flowers.'
The Chinese remake of 'She Was Pretty' will be produced in collaboration with Korean production company, Bon Factory, and another major Chinese production company. Hwang Jung Eum's role will be played by Actress Dilraba Dilmurat (also known as Di Li Re Ba) and Park Seo Joon's role will be played by Actor Sheng Yi Lun.
UNIQ's agency: Yuehua Entertainment, said, "'She Was Pretty' was a hit not only in Korea, but also in China. We are thrilled that Sungjoo has been selected as the only leading role Korean actor for the remake and we are thankful that so many projects are coming in from many different fields. We will work harder in the future to promote in both countries."
The Chinese version of 'She Was Pretty' is expected to start filming in July and slated to air around the second half of the year.
