Kpop group BTS thankful to fans after Billboard success, group overtakes Japanese and Chinese charts as well

The boys of Kpop group BTS must be on cloud nine right now after they have broken another record. After their second album, WINGS, entered the Billboard charts at no. 26, the group has become the most successful Kpop group on the said chart in history. They are also the second best Asian group.

With all that has happened in their lives as of late, the boys of BTS definitely have something to be thankful for. In a recent interview with OSEN, they did just that. The boys didn't waste time thanking their fans all over the world for the warm acceptance and for the success they are currently experiencing.

"The fact that we broke a record as a Korean group on one of the two main charts of Billboard -- no matter how many times someone tells us, it is something that doesn't feel real...We are infinitely thankful for ARMYs everywhere who listen and watch us, move their hearts, and respond to us." Rap Monster said during the interview.

While the boys of BTS still can't believe the extraordinary feat they have achieved, the fans are still reeling with excitement and happiness for the boys. It has truly been the best week ever for a Kpop album. According to Billboard, BTS' WINGS have dethroned fellow Kpop group 2ne1's album Crush which had previously charted no. 61 on the Billboard chart back in 2014.

Now it seems like things are only getting better and better for the Kpop group. Billboard has just revealed their charts for the week of October 29 and BTS has dominated three separate charts! WINGS had taken the first place for the World Albums Chart while their song Blood, Sweat & Tears took top place at the World Digital Song Sales. BTS themselves have placed no.1 at the Social 50 chart, overtaking artists like Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes and the queen, Rihanna.

It's a barrage of achievements for the boy group because aside from their Billboard success, the boys have recently entered the UK's official charts and according to SBS PopAsia, they have also dominated both the Chinese and Japanese charts. Not only that, they have also broken Kpop group records on YouTube.

BTS are known for their jaw-dropping performances and highly creative music videos but what makes them popular is probably the fact that they aren't afraid to tackle various social issues through their music. BTS have credited the fans for their success which only shows how humble and down-to-earth the group is.

"It feels surreal to be on the Billboard chart that I had only dreamed of. It is not because we did well but because our fans gave us a lot of affection. I want to thank our fans." Says BTS' Suga.
