YG Entertainment reveals that PSY will release a new music video. Meanwhile the famous singer is also scheduled to hold two-day concert in Christmas eve.

One senior official of the agency told the press as Monday, Oct. 24 as reported by Korea Daily that the singer is preparing to shoot his new MV.

“The shooting of the MV will soon begin,” The official said as translated into English. “Further detail about release schedule will be revealed after the shooting has been finalized,”

In the meantime, PSY has also planned to hold a Year-End concert for his fans titled “All Night Stand 2016" according to report by Yonhap News Agency. The concert will be held on Dec. 23 and 24 at Gocheok Sky Dome, Seoul.

PSY is the stage name of Park Jae-Sang, whose career skyrocketed in 2012 with hits single “Gangnam Style.” The popularity of “Gangnam Style” and its catchphrase “Oppa Gangnam Style” (오빠 강남스타일) has made the 38-year old singer became world famous. However, not many people know the song was a social criticism of over-consumerism in Korea, particularly in Gangnam area.

Born in a wealthy family in the Gangnam district, his father sent PSY to America in 1996 to study business in Boston University. His family expected him to continue his father’s business in semiconductor. But he began to develop interest in music and dropped out after first semester to enroll in Berklee College of Music.

He returned to Korea in 2000 and began his music career. PSY is known to be a controversial rapper and musician with his blunt and straightforward lyrics. The Korean authority strictly labeled his music not suitable for kids and teenagers due to his lyrics.

PSY joined YG Entertainment in 2010 and under the good management of YG, he finally made an international success in 2012 with “Gangnam Style.” Last year, he released his seventh album with two singles “Daddy” and “Napal Baji.”
