Former child actress Kim Yoo-Jung opened up about her role as Hong Ra-On in KBS drama “Moonlight Drawn By Clouds.” She also talks about how she must lose 5 pounds for the role.
Kim has a lot of invitation for interview after her first role as a young adult in the drama “Moonlight Drawn By Clouds.” In one of the interview with reporter Lee Yong-Ji from Yonhap News Agency, the 17-year old actress tells about her breakout role as an adult after being in the industry for 13 years.
"This is the first time for me to play the role of a lead character in the drama,” she said in a cafe in Samcheong-dong Seoul on Monday, Oct. 31. “I had the chance to show many things and to prove my acting.”
The media called her as “the nation little sister” an honor which was previously given to Moon Geun-Young. They both are a child actress at their own time which are not afraid to take a challenging role and keep image as a cute little girl.
In the previous interview with Joy News on Oct. 27, Kim shared how she lost 5 pounds (10 kg) for the drama to portray Hong Ra-On so she did not look like a little child in her role.
“Moonlight Drawn By Clouds” have given big success for Kim in her first role as an adult actress. Its rating has reached more than 20 percent average in both TnMS and Nielsen Korea.
After the drama ended, the cast members Park Bo-Gum Kim, Jin Young and Kwak Dong-Yeon held a fans meeting in the historic site Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul on Oct. 19. All of the cast members were wearing hanbok, traditional Korean outfit and the fans meeting were attended by 6,000 people.
