tvN releases teaser trailer of new drama “Goblin” starring Gong-Yoo, Kim Go-Eun, Lee Dong-Wook [VIDEO]

Cable channel tvN has finalized the shooting of new drama “Goblin” last month. The drama will replace “The K2” as the Friday and Saturday drama. This week, tvN release the teaser trailer of the drama starring renown actress Kim Go-Eun along with Gong-Yoo and Lee Dong-Wook.

“Goblin” is a fantasy drama about a demon who wanted to end his immortal life by marrying a human. On the other hand, grim reaper whose duty is to become the angel of death suddenly has an amnesia and forget his duty. The drama is aired as special drama to celebrate tvN 10th anniversary according to Korea Daily.

Actress Kim Go-Eun is cast to play the Eun-Tak, young woman who is selected to become the goblin mortal bride. While Gong-Yoo will play the goblin and handsome actor Lee Dong-Wook is cast as the grim reaper.

Kim is known to play Hong-Seol in the tvN controversial drama “Cheese in the Trap” with Park Hae-Jin and Seo Kang-Joon. While Gong-Yoo’s latest project is the “Train to Busan” as the main character Woo-Jin. For Lee, this will mark his return to tvN drama after 2015 “Bubble Gum.”

After he was confirmed to play the grim reaper, Lee conducted extensive research about the character. The producer acknowledge and praised his effort.

“His effort to pay attention to the character gives a great confidence for the entire crew,” said the producer as quoted by Top Star News. “He really transform himself into the character of grim reaper.”

“Goblin” began to film in September and some footages were taken in Canada. The story was written by the famous playwright Kim Eun-Sook whose previous works include “Descendants of the Sun,” “The Heirs” and Gentleman’s Dignity.” Director Lee Eung-Bok who worked together with writer Kim in “Descendants of the Sun” is guaranteed to make “Goblin” an interesting drama to watch.
