Rookie idol group KNK released their new album “Remain” without an accompanying music video this month. They released a performance video as the substitute instead, which nonetheless shows their passion for music throughout the video.
Previously, the group released a teaser trailer of the music video from the single “U” in their new album on November 15, according to report from Top Star News. However, the music video wasn't released on its supposed release day on November 17. Later on, their agency announced that they will release the new album without any music video.
The decision to release the album without the music video is surprising, because it's not common for a music act to release an album without a music video. As a substitute, KNK released a performance video of their single “U” instead.
The agency also utilized digital media to promote KNK's new album “Remain.” They appeared on the Amigo TV app “Live” on November 23 to announce the album and perhaps emphasize their presence to the public. During the broadcast, all five members made their appearance by playing games and showing off their charm.
KNK is a boy group from YNB Entertainment Agency, which debuted in February 2016. The five-member group consists of singers who are able to dance very well: Youjin, Seungjun, Inseong, Jihun and Heejun. Five of them were trainees from various agency that joined YNB Entertainment, which later formed a group in late 2015. The group debuted in February 2016 with the album “Awake” and singles “Knock.” The public has appreciated them quite well, so far.
This November, they decided to release a new album, “Remain,” which consists of six songs, as reported by SBS News. “U” is the main single from the album, while Heejun and Jihun also wrote their own songs “Tonight” and “Stay.” The album was released last week on Thursday, November 17.
