JYJ’s Junsu, Big Bang’s T.O.P. have to report for duty for his military conscription in February

Pop group JYJ member Junsu and Big Bang rapper T.O.P. are already scheduled to enter their mandatory military conscription. They are both enlisted as police officer and have to report for duty in February.

T.O.P. was taking his exam for military conscription duty on Oct. 25 at the Seoul central police headquarter. He registered using his real name Choi Seung-Hyun (최승현) and listed among the 348 applicants who applied for police duty.

He passed the exam and according to Korea Times, he will have to report for duty on February 9, 2017. Afterwards, he will enter a four-week basic military training.

Prior to his military conscription, Big Bang is scheduled to release a new album called "Made" on Dec. 12. Big Bang also scheduled a comeback tour in January next year. Watch the official trailer of Big Bang's new album "Made" below:

Meanwhile, member of the trio JYJ, Junsu, also have to report for duty at the same date as T.O.P. for his military conscription service. The singer registered with his full name Kim Joon-Soo (김준수) and took the police exam in his hometown Gyeonggi province. He passed the exam to become a police officer and will join T.O.P. and his former TVXQ bandmate Shim Chang-Min in the Korean National Police Department.

Both Junsu and T.O.P. will start their duty by attending the mandatory four-week basic military training in Nonsan Army Training Center in Chungcheong as reported by Yonhap News Agency. The basic military training will provide the conscriptees with fundamental know-hows of the Korean military service.

Junsu is a former member of SM Entertainment boy group TVXQ, which was disbanded in 2012 after a three-year legal battle regarding the 13-year contract between the group and the agency. Junsu and two other former TVXQ members Jaejoong and Yoochun formed trio JYJ. The name of their group is taken after their initials.
