Taeyeon: 'I'm not obsessed over ratings'

The always baby faced leader of Girls' Generation, Taeyeon, recently talked about her music as a solo artist.

On November 27, Soompi wrote about Taeyeon's recent interview which dealt with her recent achievements as a solo act. She was also asked how she addresses expectations of fans especially that she's not only part of the legendary girl group in Korea but also the leader.

Taeyeon is just like any other K-Pop idol out there who also gets nervous despite the number of her achievements as part of Girls' Generation and even as an individual. She imparted in the said interview that she really felt overwhelmed when fans kept on supporting her and when she gets recognized for her craft. She even added that the feeling is really amusing but when there's been too much success, she can't also help herself from getting nervous. She's afraid that she might not satisfy them in the future. But in return, this also leads her to work harder so that she can ensure she won't disappoint fans.

Furthermore, on the talks of rankings in different music charts, she simply put it as "I don't really obsess over music rankings." She stated it firmly that for her, what's important is that whenever she performs, she wanted to have a connection with her fans. Taeyeon also added that she's aware that she can't please everyone every time she releases new songs, so she just trained herself not to really care that much about rankings, according to Kpop Music.

Taeyeon remains to be humble despite her achievements. Recently, she just received the Top 10 award during the 2016 Melon Music Awards. She's also currently promoting her recent single entitled "11:11". Despite being new as a solo artist, her singles like "I" and "Why" topped several music charts and even garnered awards, and fans are expecting that her "11:11" will also receive the same treatment or even better.
