Jung Il Woo To Enlist Soon Despite Cerebral Aneurysm

The 'Cinderella And The Four Nights' bad boy is leaving for the army in December. Jung Il Woo is set to begin basic training for four weeks and then serve as a public service officer.

Back in 2006, the actor was involved in a serious accident along with Lee Min Ho, resulting in injuries that still affect both of them today. Not only did Il Woo suffer from injuries to his wrist and hip, but it was recently revealed that the star is dealing with a much more serious issue. His agency released a statement saying:

"In 2006, after a car accident, Jung Il Woo had been diagnosed with a concussion, cerebral hemorrhaging, and localized amnesia (memory loss of certain events, usually traumatic). Since about three years ago, he has had frequent headaches. After a medical examination, Jung Il Woo was diagnosed with a cerebral aneurysm."

The actor was encouraged to have the trauma re-examined, which could have resulted in exemption from the mandatory military service, but Il Woo declined. His agency then said:

"Though he regrets not being able to enlist as an active duty soldier, he will be doing his best as a public service worker. Jung Il Woo is sad that he is unable to properly greet his loving fans. Please send him a lot of love and support."

Jung Il Woo is yet another addition to the expanding list of actors due to report for service in the upcoming months, including Ji Chang Wook and Seo In Guk.
