Rocker Jung Joon-Young will return to music and release his new album after taking a break since September. His agency has confirmed his message to his fans of his comeback. Meanwhile audience also expect him to return to variety show “1 Night 2 Days” soon.
His agency C9 Entertainment also confirmed his return as reported by ET. The agency released official statement on Jan. 3 to inform his comeback to entertainment industry which had been preceded by his message to his fans.
"Jung Joon Young, who stopped his activities in order to take a break will soon return to meet his fans with solo album in February,” the agency said in an official announcement.
Jung had an unpleasant experience with his ex-girl friend on Sept. 23, 2016. She reported him to police for recording their sexual encounter. However after an investigation, police found that her report was false.
He was vindicated in October, but the case was leaked to the press and controversy arose. As a result, the 27-year-old singer decided to take a break from his activities, including from the most popular variety show in Korea “1 Night 2 Days.” He went to France and rarely posted to his blog or social media of his whereabout.
Before the New Year, he wrote a handwritten message to his fans which was posted to his fan cafe. He informed his plan to comeback and release new album. His message was reciprocated positively by the cast members of “1 Night 2 Days” as reported by Insight News.
On the New Year’s day, the special edition of “1 Night 2 Days” welcomed him to return immediately to the show. The oldest member comedian Kim Jun-Ho said that his seat in the variey show is still reserved for him alone. For the past tree years, the cast members and crews of “1 Night 2 Days” have created a strong bond among them.
