Taeyeon just very recently released her music video "I Got Love" and has reportedly broken her own record for female K-pop solo artists on YouTube for having the most views within 24 hours. Accordingly, the music video received 2.85 million views. The previous record was 2.43 million views for her single "I" back in October of 2015.
According to Allkpop, the record for most views in 24 hours for a K-pop solo artist is held by Psy, when his "Gentleman" music video back in April of 2013, reached a whopping 38 million views in just one day. Taeyeon's "I Got Love" allegedly, is just the tip of the iceberg of what is to come from the singer's upcoming solo album. It is quite clear that she is working on a different concept and sound than what fans are used to in her previous solo releases like "I".
Taeyeon, according to Wikepedia, was a trainee at S.M. Entertainment's Starlight Academy and started as a member of the agency's girl group Girls' Generation in 2007. Since then, she has risen to prominence. Aside from group activities, Taeyeon has also recorded tracks for various television dramas and movies.
Again, in October 2015, Taeyeon debuted as a solo artist with her first music album, "I". The album soared to number two on South Korea's Gaon Album Chart. The singer also produced a single with the same name, which again peaked on top of the Gaon Digital Chart, and reportedly has sold over one million digital copies. Her second album enters as number one on the Gaon Album Chart, and yielded two South Korean top-ten singles "Starlight" and "Why".
Following her debut, she was awarded as best female artist at the Mnet Asian Music Awards. Allegedly, Forbes Korea also listed her among the Top 40 Power Celebrities of 2016. Taeyeon is renowned for her vocal abilities, and in 2016 Gallup Korea ranked her as the most popular artist of the year.
