Next Generation Of K-Pop Stars Unveiled After 2NE1, Wonder Girls Disband

It truly was a big disappointment to know that two of the top and most popular girl groups in the K-pop industry have disbanded. This is because of the sudden breakup of Wonder Girls last November, and the recent disbanding of 2NE1 last month.

All of these are primarily due to the expired contracts, and the hopes of having a better career with a solo one. Members getting to leave their respective groups in hopes of gaining more popularity by having a solo career are also one of the many reasons. Because of this, the popularity of the two groups waned.

With this, many people have questioned whether this is the end of the line for K-pop. Well, the answer to that is a big no.

According to Soompi, the K-pop industry is still very much alive and running pretty good. The disbanding of popular groups in the industry is a sign that there is a dynamic flow in the industry.

Even though it seems like it is a bad thing, it really is not. This is because the continuous exit and entrance of celebrities and pop icons in showbiz is really a good sign. It shows that the industry is improving and becoming better overall.

The introduction of 22 new K-pop groups in 2016 is one of the reasons why the industry is still up and running. One can see that there is a steady increase of newcomers to the industry, which also means that there will be a stiffer competition, thus better music and performances.

According to Straits Times, the new group "Blackpink" is one of the newest icons in the industry. It has similar sounds to the previous 2NE1, which is why most 2NE1 fans have shifted to Blackpink instead.

Then again, one can see the dynamic flow in the industry. TWICE is also expected to make it big in the K-pop world this year, as its hot music videos and upcoming tracks are more than enough to keep the hype among its fans.

With all of these being said, the K-pop industry is not really in a decline. It's just all about the evolution and progress of music and performances.
