Jeon Somi recently made an appearance in MBC's variety show "My Little Television". The singer took on the challenge of "insect eating". Uck!
Jeon Somi recently appeared on MBC's variety show "My Little Television" aired on March 4, reports Soompi. The 15-year-old former IOI member bravely took on the show's challenge of eating insects.
Jeon Somi was accompanied by her Dutch-Canadian father Matthew Douma. Apparently, Jeon Somi had "trying an unusual food" in her bucket list.
Jeon Somi and her father first ate a sundae. Both were having fun as they frolicked with the sundae, with Jeon messing with her father's face.
After then, Jeon Somi pulled out two bags of dried insects and revealed that they would be trying them to finally scratch off "trying an unusual food" in her bucket list. The first bag contained dried grasshoppers and the other contained dried mealworms.
Jeon's father jokingly said that grasshoppers are perfect when paired with milk and that he eats them for breakfast frequently. He then proceeded to eat a mouthful of the grasshoppers just to show off, but the expression on his face revealed that it was a bad idea.
Jeon Somi proceeded to try few pieces for herself. The surprised Jeon revealed that the dried grasshoppers had a similar taste to black beans.
Jeon then proceeded on munching the dried mealworms, which she claimed to have a similar taste to fish jerky. Seo Yuri got interested and tried one for herself, and was surprised how Jeon's description was spot on. Jeon and Yuri even recommended the dried mealworms to the viewers.
