DIA reportedly has been confirmed to collaborate with rapper DinDin for their new album. The rapper will accordingly be featured in one of DIA's follow-up tracks. The group's upcoming new album is scheduled to be released sometime in the middle of Apr.
DIA's upcoming collaboration track, according to Soompi, is tentatively titled "April." This is reportedly arranged to be a sweet, medium-tempo ballad with a gentle acoustic guitar accompaniment. The lyrics apparently describe the feelings of a young girl who is in love. For the girls' upcoming album, the members will also be working with Hong Jin Young, Kim Yeon Ja, and Kim Chungha as featured artists.
DIA is short for diamond and also known, according to Nowkpop, as do it amazing. The group is composed of seven girls under MBK Entertainment. They debuted in Sept. 2015 with the album "Do It Amazing." The group went on a temporary break after members Huihyeon and Chaeyeon's joined the cast of the competition show "Produce 101."
The group gained attention after Chaeyeon became a finalist in the series. DIA returned to the limelight with the EP "Happy Ending" in 2016. The EP allegedly featured "On the Road" that entered the Gaon at number forty-nine, DIA's highest position on the chart. Their second EP, "Spell" became the group's most commercially successful release apparently selling 13,405 copies.
For those not familiar with this name, DinDin is a Vancouver, Canada native rapper. He moved to Seoul around the same time he auditioned for "Show Me The Money." He made his presence known to Korean music fans when he performed on the second season of Mnet's hit hip-hop variety show last year. The charismatic rapper recently featured with Girl's Day vocalist Minah on a track composed by Lee Hyun Do for his upcoming project album.
