Highlight has made their very first step to a comeback with a new name. Leaving the previous name, BEAST, and Cube Entertainment, the group has gone stronger with their new album "Can You Feel It?" Their new songs "It's Still Beautiful" and "Please Don't Be Sad" have captured fans' hearts once again. Recently, they talked about their former name and the memory of it.
It was rumored that the relationship between Cube Entertainment and BEAST were not really good and thus, the group wanted to leave the agency. After leaving the agency, the members tried to maintain using BEAST as the name of the group. But they didn't arrive at an agreement and thus decided to have the new name.
It turns out that the relationship between Highlight and their former agency was good, according to their leader Yoon Doo Joon, Soompi reported. He and the members also explained that it was sad to part ways but it was necessary because they wanted to head in a different direction. Also, they had no negative sentiments against Cube Entertainment and stressed out that both would try to support each other.
Regarding the name of the group, it was true that the group wanted to keep BEAST as the name of the group. But, they were worried that time would come they will need to agree on a new name. Giving it much thought, the group they decided to have the new name Highlight for they believe fans love them for the members not for the name. They wanted BEAST to remain in their beautiful memory.
Hearing that, fans were so happy about their decision. Even some of them paid using their own money to tell the world that BEAST had changed its name into Highlight. The members felt so happy to have loyal fans. On Mar. 20, the group has just dropped their title track "Please Don't Be Sad" to mark their comeback with the mini album "Can You Feel It?" The album consisted of six songs, composed by Junhyung and more.
With this great news, Highlight's fans will always show support for the group. Plus, there are no hard feelings between the group and its previous agency.
