Boys Generally Asian or popularly known as BGA, is reportedly a satire created by Ryan Higa, a well-known YouTuber. In Mar. 24, the five-man boy band accordingly released their second song "Who's It Gonna Be." After its release, the song allegedly instantly topped the K-pop ranking that even surpassed among others, songs released by Monsta X, GOT7, and BTS.
As reported by Koreaboo, BGA precisely imitated K-pop groups that earned them the admiration of K-Pop fans. The songs released by the band purportedly garnered incredible hits not only among Korean K-Pop fans but also with American followers as well. Their initial song "Dong Saya Dae" apparently also made it to the charts at a cozy number three.
BGA has allegedly impeccably duplicated the way K-pop groups organize such as among others, picking their fan name, official colors, and even their solo members. In their newest song, the group likewise released teaser photos and videos before the release. The band, although some of the members are reportedly non-Korean, is able to sing most of their lyrics in Korean. Ryan Higa accordingly also released other versions of their first song, a typical practice among K-pop artists.
Ryan Higa, who is allegedly well known by his YouTube username nigahiga, has been a popular social media personality for quite a while. His comedy video creations have apparently been viewed over 3 billion times, reports Nextshark. Moreover, he has more than 19 million YouTube subscribers. This accordingly makes his channel 14th most subscribed on YouTube.
The satire K-pop group was formed in 2016. The band defines themselves as the guys who cannot sing, dance or really speak Korean but trying to start a K-Pop band. Their first single was released in May 2016 entitled "Dong Saya Dae." The group consists of Ryan Higa, Justin Chon, Philip Wang, David Choi, and Jun Sung Ahn.
