Many K-pop idols in the past months have acquired injuries, either during their practices or during their actual performance at concerts. INFINITE's Sunggyu has joined them as the K-pop idol suffered rib fractures.
According to Koreaboo, reports state that INFINITE's Sunggyu suffered rib fractures during a filming for a "Singderella" episode. Because of this, the K-pop idol may not be able to attend INFINITE's promotions in Japan this April.
Members of INFINITE have also rescheduled all their plans. The group was initially slated to shoot for a music video on March 30.
"Sunggyu cannot dance to the choreography due to severe pain in his ribs," said INFINITE's agency, Woolim Entertainment. The agency also added that they will be changing the content of the music video because of Sunggyu's absence.
Fans of INFINITE were saddened because of the fact that this might be Sunggyu's last comeback with the group. Apparently, Sunggyu is slated to enlist in the military in 2 years.
Some fans also stated that they would rather want a delayed comeback for INFINITE, rather than making their comeback without Sunggyu. They added how "no fun" it is with one member missing.
However, some fans just wished that Sunggyu will recover. Others stated that Sunggyu should not push himself just to get back in time for INFINITE's comeback.
In other news, fans of INFINITE's Hoya have donated to an organization called Soree on March 28. Instead of giving Hoya gifts, the K-pop idol's fans have given money to help children/people with hearing disability.
According to Soompi, "Hear, Ho", Hoya's official fans club, have donated 3 million Korean Won (more or less $2,700) to Soree, an organization that gives people with hearing disability the chance to hear again. As fans of a singer, we wanted to help deaf children discover sound," said Hear, Ho.
The recipients of the money will also be getting language rehabilitation therapy. The fans of the INFINITE member have been doing the same act of kindness for many years now.
