New update reveals that actor Lee Min Ho has shared his experience about filming MBC documentary titled "The Wild" in the Korean DMZ (Demilitarized Zone). According to reports, the actor undertook the Demilitarized Zone project as a pro bono service.
It is reported that Lee Min Ho attended a press conference in Seoul to promote his new MBC documentary on March 29. Lee Min Ho not only features in "The Wild," but also took a time to narrate the natural scenery documented in the DMZ.
"The Wild" centers on the natural habitat and animals in the DMZ, which separated North and South Korea and is almost 2.5 miles wide. It is reported by Dramafever, that these has been out of bounds to civilians for more than half a century.
Lee Min Ho revealed the two special reasons why he decided to undertake the DMZ documentary project during the press conference. He stated that one of the reasons was his love for documentaries and the other was primarily and majorly because of the DMZ itself, as reported by Allkpop.
The actor saw "The Wild" as an opportunity to do what he has always wanted to do and he wanted to create awareness about the wildlife in the DMZ. However, Lee Min Ho expressed how nervous he felt when he stepped foot in the DMZ.
The actor also mentioned that due to the fact that he was working as both the presenter and a cast member at the same time, he had to stay at the DMZ for a period of 2 nights and 3 days. Meanwhile, Lee Min Ho commented about his upcoming enlistment.
"Like any other actor leaving for the army, I am sad to be parting with everyone; however, it will only be for a short while. I would like to work on as many projects as I can before entering the military." It is also reported that Lee Min Ho confessed that he felt a sense of guilt during his stay at the DMZ as all the soldiers stationed were very young. The MBC documentary of DMZ, "The Wild" is scheduled to air on April 3 in Korea.
