How KWINs' Kriesha Tiu Gets The Grand Finals Spot In 'K-Pop Star 6'

Kriesha Tiu, a Filipino-American contestant at "K-pop Star 6" has just made a big leap towards reaching her goals to become a K-pop sensation. KWINs is composed of Kim Sohee, Krieshia Tiu and Kim Hye Rim, and they successfully secured a grand finals spot during the weekend episode of "K-pop Star 6: The Last Chance".

According to Manila Bulletin, KWINs has just advanced to the grand finals of the talent show and they will be competing against Boyfriend, a vocal duo. Boyfriend is composed of two 11 year old kids, Kim Jong Seob and Park Hyun Jin.

Before the KWINs and Boyfriend were chosen to have the two grand finale slots, they still battled it out against Shannon and Min A Lee. The competition was so intense as they brought out their best performances in front of the judges and the live audience.

The episode was aired live from the Bucheon Gymnasium. KWINs performed "Wannabe" of Spice Girls, while Boyfriend sang the Black Eyed Peas' famous hit song, "Let's Get it Started".

Meanwhile, the two eliminate contestants, Shannor and Min A Lee, performed "I Have a Girl" and "Something from Girl's Day respectively. KWINs received a total of 280 points while Boyfriend got 295 points from the judges. On the other hand, Min A Lee and Shannor got the same 277 points.

And with this, Boyfriend and KWINs were able to advance and move forward to the grand finale of which they will further battle it out. It was indeed a wild turn of events for the 19-year-old Kriesha Tiu as she was already eliminated out of the show last January.

Fortunately, she was brought back to continue her dream to become the next K-pop sensation thanks to the wild card option.

The "K-pop Star 6: The Last Chance" grand finals will be on April 9.
