Now that WINNER has made their comeback official with "Fate Number For", the boys have now opened up about Taehyun's withdrawal from the group. Taehyun left winner in November 2016.
According to Soompi, WINNER's Seungyoon stated that Taehyun was not able to continue with them because of the concerns about his health. Seungyoon added that it was a hard time for the rest of them.
Seungyoon also stated his concern about the fans. Taehyun did a good job being WINNER's lead vocals and now that he is gone, Seungyoon became worried about the group's future.
Seungyoon however, realized that they can't spend all of their time feeling sad about Taehyun's withdrawal from the group. The 4-member WINNER immediately got back into working with new music because they did not want the fans to wait too long.
Seungyoon also added how they worked hard to expand their individual skills, just so they could fill Taehyun's spot. "We had no choice but to become better," said WINNER's Seungyoon.
WINNER's Jinwoo also added how he got more vocal parts after Taehyun left. Jinwo stated how he worked hard on improving his vocal prowess. He also revealed that he received voice lessons and that he continually practiced during his spare time.
"Now we're four, so we have to accept that. I think in our fans' hearts, it will forever be the five of us," said Seungyoon. "I don't want to erase the five-member WINNER, but please support us as four members as well."
WINNER made their comeback with "Fate Number For" on April 4 at 4 P.M KST. As previously reported, the group also released the music videos for "Really Really" and "Fool" on the same day.
