After the success of "Hwarang" and "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon," Park Hyung Sik is looking for a different role for his future project. The ZE:A member said that he wants to take on a tough guy role instead of the typical hero in a romantic comedy trope.
According to a report by Korea Portal, Park Hyung Sik said that he is considering a role that is different from his previous projects as he wanted to challenge himself as an actor. He said that his previous projects were part of his learning process. He said he started to feel maturity as an actor while working on historical drama "Hwarang" but his role in "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" marked his first leading role.
He credited co-star and rumored girlfriend Park Bo Young with the effectiveness of their portrayal. "We became close personally, but I was also amazed by her acting. I learned a lot from her," Park Hyung Sik said.
Park Hyung Sik said that he wants to test himself as an actor in a melodrama or in a tough guy role. The actor also said that he wants to do a laid back show with close male friends where they can just "cuss at each other and get into trouble," which sounded like a lot of fun, reported Hello Kpop.
Park Hyung Sik recently decided to sign with United Artists Agency (UAA), the entertainment company that manages the career of "Descendants of the Sun's" Song Hye Kyo and "Chicago Typewriter's" Yoo Ah In.
According to Park Hyung Sik, UAA went out of its way to make sure that he is satisfied with his contract. He added that he was excited about the idea of being labelmates with the likes of great actors like Song Hye Kyo and Yoo Ah In.
