LABOUM's 'Hwi Hwi" Took The Win On 'Music Bank' But Netizens Felt That It Was Unfair

LABOUM's new song "Hwi Hwi" just got the first win on "Music Bank." The girl group won against IU with "Palette" and got crowned as the winner. But, it drove controversy among netizens as they pointed out that the song "Hwi Hwi" didn't even in the top 100 on music charts.

On the recent episode of "Music Bank," LABOUM with their song "Hwi Hwi" got the total of 4846 points and IU with her song "Palette" got the total of 4165 points. Thus, LABOUM took the crown instead of IU. But, netizens felt that it was unjust as the song was in the 347th place on music charts, AllKpop reported.

Netizens also pointed out that the song was unfamiliar as they never heard about it. It is different with IU. Her song "Palette" topped various music charts and it got a perfect all-kill after its release. Netizens were disappointed to "Music Bank" because they thought the music show didn't do fair job in giving points.

LABOUM is a girl group from H Media debuted in 2014. They consist of six members. The group has released several albums after their debut. Their song "Hwi Hwi" is the title track for their mini album MISS THIS KISS.

The song "Hwi Hwi" has enormous chorus and a potent instrumental that makes everyone want to listen to the song over and over, TheBiasList reported. Even though the song is really eye-catchy, it cannot beat IU's song "Palette" in many music charts. Thus, netizens questioned about LABOUM's winning over IU on "Music Bank."

As a matter of fact, the decision for the winner on "Music Bank" doesn't rely only on music charts. Thus, there is no surprise that LABOUM could win. Whatever the protests from netizens, LABOUM still took the crown for their first win. With only a few points ahead IU, they could beat her. Still, support for IU keeps on coming. IU's fans hope for her next win on other music shows. Read Next: Lee Min Ho Is Rumored To Quit Military Service For Accompanying Suzy In Her Pregnancy
