American actor Matthew Douma, who appeared briefly in the hit Korean drama "Descendants of the Sun" could not stop complaining about his famous co-star Song Joong Ki during a recent interview on MBC's "Every1's Video Star." Apparently, his main complaint revolved around not being able to complain about anything about the Korean star.
According to a report by Soompi, Matthew Douma, who also happens to be the dad of Canadian-Korean singer Jeon Somi, appeared as a guest on the MBC show and shared some experiences he had with Song Joong Ki. Douma had nothing but praise for his co-star, who has been catapulted to superstar status after the drama aired in different parts of the world.
"There's only one thing about Song Joong Ki that is spiteful," Douma said about the actor. "He's too well-rounded of a person. There's nothing to criticize about him."
According to Douma, Song Joong Ki was not only very professional on set but he was also very thoughtful. He recounted the instance where they were covered with bruises and tired after shooting for hours and Song Joong Ki gave up his seat for him. Douma also shared that the actor even offered him a drink even before he was about to have it. The "Descendants of the Sun" star also always let him use the shower stall that was set up separately for Song Joong Ki.
Douma said he wished that there was something about the actor that he could hate but the only thing that he could think of was that Song Joong Ki was just too perfect. He added that on top of his kindness and thoughtfulness, the actor was also good in speaking English.
Song Joong Ki, who recently won Best Actor recognition from the prestigious Korean Producers Association, is set to be seen next in the movie "Battleship Island" where he will be challenged in an action role once again. He will play the role of a soldier who will infiltrate Battleship Island to help the leader of the independence movement free 400 Koreans who is forced into slavery. The film will be shown in Korea and China simultaneously in the second half of 2017, reported Kpopstarz.
